The UNHCR is sending 300 prefabricated houses for refugees in Hungary
The United Nations High Commission for Refugees will be watching the actions of the Hungarian Army and they are sending 300 prefabricated houses as well as emergency aid for 95 thousand people in Hungary, Serbia, Macedonia and Greece.
The UNHCR will be “keeping a close eye” on the actions of the military in Hungary, and they expect the police as well as the army to respect the rights of asylum-seekers – said the spokesperson for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees on Friday.
In a press conference held in Geneva William Spindler said: The Hungarian government accepted 300 prefabricated houses from the High Commission, which will be sent disassembled and will function as temporary residence for refugees.
The spokesperson also said that the High Commission would be sending emergency aid for 95 thousand people in Hungary, Serbia, Macedonia and Greece.
