First refugees whose asylum request had been rejected
The 444.hu managed to talk to the two Bangladeshi men, who were admitted amongst the firsts into the container town at the Serbian-Hungarian border, where asylum seekers` cases are handled.
The two men said, they spent approximately 4 hours inside, an Urdu language interpreter helped them during the hearing. After this, they received a paper in Hungarian with judicial stamp on it, and the Hungarian authorities allowed them to return to the Serbia side through a side door.
The two men – who can hardly speak even in English -, thought that the paper will entitle them to stay in Hungary; however it stated, that their application was rejected because they arrived to a Hungarian territory from a safe third country (through Serbia – translator). They may appeal against the decision at the Szeged Court Appeal within seven days.
It is not clear how could they get there from Serbia, because the paper also states that they can enter into the Schengen territory only with special permission in the next 12 months.
